Because believing in women's empowerment also means taking action.

More than what we wear

At Durga Yoga Wear, our inspiration comes from Durga, the Hindu warrior goddess who embodies feminine strength, courage and protection. But we believe these values should extend beyond the clothes we create.

Women's empowerment is not simply about feeling confident or strong. It is also about having the freedom, safety and opportunities to make our own choices. And we know that, for many women around the world, these fundamental rights are still far from guaranteed.

That is why we chose to support Fondazione Pangea.

Who is Fondazione Pangea?

Founded in Italy in 2002, Fondazione Pangea is a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting women's rights and supporting women experiencing violence, discrimination and economic vulnerability.

Its work reaches women and families in Italy, Afghanistan and India, providing practical tools to help them build safer, more independent lives.

Pangea believes that supporting a woman can create lasting change, not only for her, but also for her family and community.

What does Pangea actually do?

In Italy, Pangea supports women affected by gender-based violence through listening services, protection, emergency accommodation and programmes designed to help them rebuild independent lives.

In Afghanistan, its work includes humanitarian assistance, psychological support and initiatives that help women and families navigate extremely difficult circumstances.

In India, Pangea has developed projects focused on women's economic independence, including microcredit, savings groups and professional training.

Across these different contexts, the goal remains the same: helping women access the resources, protection and opportunities they need to shape their own futures.

Our commitment: €1 From every garment sold

We decided to make supporting women part of the way Durga operates.

For every Durga garment sold, €1 is donated to Fondazione Pangea to support its mission.

Our very first production includes 565 garments, representing a potential contribution of €565 to Fondazione Pangea as each piece finds its new home.

This is just the beginning of a commitment we hope to grow alongside our brand.

We know that one euro alone cannot change the world. But we believe that consistent actions, collective effort and long-term commitment can make a meaningful difference.

Why this partnership matters to us

The goddess Durga represents the power to protect, to stand against injustice and to restore balance. These values inspired the creation of our brand, and they are also what connect us to Pangea’s mission.

For me, this connection is also personal. I have felt the value of Pangea’s support in my own life, which makes this partnership especially close to my heart.

Through Durga, I want to carry that support forward: celebrating women through the way they move, dress and express themselves, while contributing to a world where more women can live freely and safely.

Because women’s empowerment should be more than a message. It should be something we put into practice.
