Durga began with a simple question: what should I wear for yoga?
When I got my first teaching job at a yoga studio, I started looking for an outfit that felt like me. Something feminine and minimal, from a brand whose approach to ethics and sustainability I could believe in.
I couldn’t find what I was looking for. So I decided to create it.
As a yoga teacher, I wanted to design pieces I would love to practice and teach in: comfortable, thoughtfully made, and feminine without compromising freedom of movement.
I imagined them on women who feel strong, present, sensual, and free. Women with their own way of moving, dressing, and expressing themselves.
Designed in Italy and produced in Bali, Durga brings that vision to life through The Essentials, our first collection. A wardrobe of understated pieces that feel as natural on the mat as they do in everyday life.
That vision also comes with a responsibility. We choose REPREVE® recycled fibers. For me, yoga has always been a way to pay attention: to my body, to what I need, and to the choices I make. Durga grew from that same intention, and from the desire to create something I felt was missing.
